PA STUDENT POWER NETWORK

Across Pennsylvania, students are organizing for social justice on campus and beyond. Our network includes students at private schools, public schools, and community colleges—in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Erie, Lehigh Valley, and in between. We’re working to build long-term progressive power.

How to get involved

1. Join the network! Get a squad together and launch a campus Student Power chapter. Or, if you’re an existing campus group, you can affiliate with the statewide network by committing to our core principles.

2. Help lead a statewide campaign! This spring, we’re organizing for $15/hour living wages and lower tuition, climate and environmental justice, immigrant justice, and more.

3. Get AMPed! Into using arts, media, or policy to build the movement? Lead a creative project with AMP.

Why do our universities keep saying they can't afford lower tuition, higher wages, and other supports for students and campus workers? One reason: They've been busy investing their money in risky Wall Street deals, like *interest rate swaps*, that cost hundreds of millions of dollars with little return for us. To learn more about these practices and what you can do on your campus, check out this webinar from our partners at the Roosevelt Institute on October 4! register.gotowebinar.com/register/3442007242446474755 ... This fall, the White House announced steps to end the DACA program, which provides 800,000 young immigrants with desperately-needed work authorization and temporary relief from fear of deportation. Now more than ever, it’s time for young people to take action statewide—to defend DACA, resist bills like HB 14/SB273, which would defund PA’s “Sanctuary Campuses,” and win permanent protections and dignity for all immigrants.

Join us for an online panel discussion about what’s at stake in this moment, what’s next, and what you can do. We will have speakers from:
